Idaho

Payroll Specialist/Accounting Assistant – Eagle, ID

Dillon Toyota Lift (DTL) has an immediate opening for a Payroll Specialist/Accounting Assistant in our Corporate office in Eagle, Idaho. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, a team player, and demonstrate strong attention-to-detail and organizational skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple demands with frequent interruptions. Reports to the Controller and will perform a variety of duties that include payroll and admin support for the Accounting department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform payroll duties to ensure the delivery of compliant, accurate and timely payrolls.
  • Process biweekly payroll and generate necessary payroll reports.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Calculate and verify accuracy of hours worked for each employee, overtime rules, deductions, adjustments, manual checks, bonuses, paid time off, etc.
  • Process personnel changes or inquiries related to new hires, terminations, court-ordered liens and garnishments, employment verifications, etc., includes updating all applicable systems.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the Paycor system and provide training to users of the payroll, time keeping, and other systems.
  • Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Provide regular support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Cross train to serve as department backup.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial or operational reports as requested by Accounting or HR departments.
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of payroll experience and relevant job duties (accounting principles, general ledger, payroll administration, and general knowledge of related laws).
  • Or any combination of education and experience that is necessary to perform essential duties.
  • Positive attitude, self-management and initiative are key to the success of the role. 
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity working with an automated payroll system, experience with Paycor system a plus.

HR Generalist – Salt Lake City, UT

We are looking for a candidate with well-rounded experience in HR. The individual will perform HR functions with a primary focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, and training and development. Will complete administrative or transactional duties as well as assist with more strategic HR initiatives under the direction of the HR Manager. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail oriented, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Talent Acquisition

  • Fill vacant positions across all departments and Branch locations.
  • Administer pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, track recruiting expenses and timely payment of invoices.
  • Establish and maintain multiple channels for sourcing qualified candidates through proactive and targeted engagement, such as: niche job boards, passive recruiting techniques, social media platforms (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook), employee referral program, internship program, job fairs, trade schools, industry associations, state unemployment offices, military veterans, etc.
  • Manage the interview process: phone screening, interview candidates, recommend qualified candidates, coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, and provide timely feedback to both parties.

Training & Development

  • Work with managers in assessing and identifying training needs that may involve topics such as: selection and hiring practices, employment labor laws, performance development, career path and employee development plans, specific training methods, etc.
  • Electronically track and manage the upkeep of employee training records, education credentials, certifications, and any licensing requirements through internal HRIS system.
 

Performance Metrics

  • Track HR metrics to help monitor the effectiveness of employee programs (e.g., Talent Acquisition Program: time-to-fill, cost per hire, turnover rate).
  • Prepare and distribute reports to HR Manager, leadership- and hiring-managers for evaluating HR programs and improving business practices
 

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or relevant field preferred.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience/industry-related setting preferred.
  3. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in recruiting, employee relations, and training.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Parts Counter Support. Assist the Parts department with the overflow of phone calls and emails involving customer service transactions. May include advising customers on pricing, quotes, parts availability, status updates on shipment of parts, and the promotion of additional sales.
  • Teamwork. Maintain regular communication and follow up with the Parts, Rental, and Service departments to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; collaborate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers; project a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Organize work areas. Regular upkeep of facility maintenance priorities; organize materials and equipment; create efficient system for ASEC compliance to keep warehouse safe and clean; report any problems or needs as they occur.
  • Manual labor. Assist with various assignments as directed; heavy lifting; equipment cleaning; operate equipment or tools on a regular basis; sweep, mop, shovel, or remove debris, etc.
  • Monitor inventory. Pull parts for repairs or sale; physically receive and stock inventory into proper warehouse location; monitor inventory levels.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving.Load and unload materials and products; verify the quantity of items received against invoices; complete paperwork and keep a detailed account of materials that enter and leave the warehouse; assist with rental check-in and check-out inspections.
 

Qualifications:
