Field Service Technician (Journeyman) - Salt Lake City, UT

Dillon Toyota Lift (DTL) is the authorized Toyota forklift dealer in Utah and Idaho. DTL is a full-service provider of new and used forklifts, rentals, parts, lift truck operator training, warehousing and racking services. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Field Service Technician in our Salt Lake City, UT location. Essential Job Duties:

  • Advanced ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and/or rebuild all classes of equipment, including proficiency in electrical components of all classes.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently.
  • Ability to convey product knowledge and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Consult customers on the benefits of OEM parts and planned maintenance plans.
  • Build long-term working relationships with assigned customers and expand customer base by attracting new customers.
  • Maintain regular communication with service managers, parts department, and dispatchers to expedite repairs and service.
  • Maintain timely and accurate accounting of labor hours, work orders, parts used for inventory, and other customer-related paperwork.
  • Complete training certifications.
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a mechanic or technician in the industry. Prefer Journeyman level (10+ years of experience).
  • Or any combination of education and experience that is necessary to perform essential duties.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, gas and LP systems.
  • Effectively interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance, integrity, and strong work ethic.
  • Strength to lift up to 75 lbs, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, and kneeling required.
  • Clean driving record, willing to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Service Admin/Rental Coordinator - Salt Lake City, UT

Dillon Toyota Lift (DTL) is a premier service provider of Toyota forklifts, rentals, parts and service, and lift truck operator training in Idaho and Utah. As a growing company, we are looking for a Service Admin/Rental Coordinator for our Salt Lake City, Utah location. This role will work in a team environment and is responsible for daily dispatching, assigning work orders, managing rental contracts, and upkeep of fleet service.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assist in operating the Rental department involving rental contracts, proper billing procedures, inventory control, servicing of fleet and inspecting equipment
  • Answer customer calls, communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs
  • Coordinate service work orders and schedule technician appointments
  • Update customers throughout the day on the technicians? progress
  • Work with internal departments to meet customer needs
  • Maintain records of work performed, including the closing and invoicing of service work orders
  • Establish and maintain exceptional customer service internally and externally
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of experience in dispatching or related customer service field
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Prefer experience with multi-line phones and service writer experience
